About Owoko
Hello! My name is Gideon, a native and fluent Swahili speaker from Kenya. I am passionate about my language and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with people from different countries.
I want to teach Swahili because I genuinely feel happy when a foreigner learns Swahili and becomes confident using it. I also enjoy helping people understand our language and culture.
I would especially love to help people who are planning to visit or live in Kenya. Knowing some Swahili can make communication easier and help you feel more comfortable when interacting with local people.
I have experience teaching Swahili to my friends, and I am patient, friendly and willing to help you learn step by step. My goal is to make learning Swahili simple, practical and enjoyable.

My lessons based on Swahili are practical, friendly and suitable for all level learners, from complete beginners to advanced learners. I emphasis on helping students speak and understand Swahili confidently in there life time.
Depending on your goals, our lessons can include everyday conversations, pronunciation, listening and speaking practice, Kenyan Swahili, common expressions, and Swahili for travellers.
I will teach slowly by slowly and explain difficult concepts in a simple and patient way. I will also practice you on conversations that you can use when communicating with Swahili speakers in Kenya and other Swahili-speaking countries.
Be it you want to learn Swahili for travel, communication, work, or simply for fun, I will make the lessons enjoyable, interesting, comfortable, and interactive.
