About Humayra
I am an 18 year old uni student that is starting a masters degree in chemistry with maths at University College London in September. I am looking to potentially work in research in drug development or patent law after my degree and I really enjoy helping people understand difficult topics within chemistry. I feel a great satisfaction when i am able to help other students finally understand topics that they find complicated by breaking it down into much more understandable steps. It feels rewarding that not only they have improved but being apart of the process and I would like to experience this more often!

I use methods such as active recall and worksheets test a students understanding of a topic after explaining it. Each lesson is 1 hour long, consisting of 20-30 minutes of explanation and 30-40 minutes of working through different questions on the topic with a variety of different levels of difficulty and usually finishing off with a quiz on the current topic or the previous a form of active recall.
In year 13 I took on revision session with year 13 classmates and actively tutored them in topics they were struggling and worked as a private tutor for a year 12 student struggling with year 1 chemistry. My lessons are tailored for 16-19 year olds studying OCR (A) A level chemistry
