About Calvin
I've been teaching online and in person for 6 years. My students have ranged from 3-55 years old. You're never too young to learn. I am here to teach aviators and air traffic controllers to improve their English. I have a unique experience set with an aviation degree, flight experience, and teaching certificates. I'm here to teach you the standard phraseology and also how to be hear and be heard over the radio. Through this course I hope to build your confidence over the radio so you can make your requests or give your instructions with authority.

I find that rigid instruction is not only boring but unproductive. That being said, the first few lessons will usually start with either a game or talking about whatever topic is in the news. Then we'll move on to some discussion. After that we'll lead into some vocabulary and phrases/idioms. Then we'll use resources like youglish to see some of these words/phrases in action. Finally we'll talk about what we learned.
After I get to know my students and their needs more then the lessons will be fully tailored to them. Need help with phraseology? Great. Want to better understand NTSB incident reports? Great, I love those things.
