About Sophie
I have been an English teacher for 5 years and for the past year have been working as the head of key stage 4, meaning I am responsible for GCSE examination and curriculum. I specialise in teaching English literature and language.
I pride myself in building good working relationships with students, as well as creating interesting and dynamic lessons which engage students’ interest so that students are ultimately enjoying their learning.
I aim to take each lesson at the correct pace that suits each student so they are able to enjoy learning, become more confident and develop independent learning skills.

I approach each student as an individual and as a result plan and tailor lessons according to each students specific needs. I strongly believe that learning should always be enjoyable and want to ensure that students are happy in their learning as well as developing their knowledge and skills.
I like to build a good working relationship with my students so they are happy to ask questions and develop confidence in their knowledge and understanding so that ultimately they are moving towards becoming more independent learners.
