About Tyler
Music theory and tone production are the cornerstones of my teaching practice. Tuning by ear during a quiet morning session creates a perfect environment for focusing on posture and hold.
I hold a Master of Music in Guitar Performance from Eastman School of Music which informs my broader pedagogical approach. I also teach sight reading and shifting positions to help you master the fingerboard. Double stops and scales and arpeggios remain vital for your left hand agility. Achieving a rich tone is the primary result students reach within 8.0 weeks of consistent practice. There are 45 students currently enrolled in my program who have developed a strong sense of rhythm. My background at the Eastman School of Music allows me to explain complex concepts regarding ear training in simple terms.
