About Julia
"Singing at Trinity Laban while studying for my BMus Vocal Performance first introduced me to the discipline required for mastering complex instruments. After graduating, I transitioned into teaching and have since worked with 481 students across various musical styles.
My background informs how I explain improvisation and soloing or reading sheet music to those just starting out. I often recall my own early frustration with acoustic technique and electric technique, which helps me stay patient today. We can work through fingerpicking, reading tabs, lead guitar, and blues progressions as we progress through your musical journey at your own pace."

"Good lessons should feel like a natural conversation between two musicians. I begin by showing you a chord chart to set the scene for the day. You will learn to navigate the fretboard with ease. We spend time on practical skills like fingerpicking and blues progressions to build your confidence.
My 13 years of experience ensure that you understand the mechanics behind every note played. I cater to all levels, from complete beginners to those wanting to refine their soloing. Free chord charts and tab sheets are shared after each class. You can practise these materials whenever you find the time."
