About Evan
Hi! My name is Evan and I am excited to share my passion for French language and culture with new students! Most of my experience teaching is at the middle and high school level as an English teaching assistant in France, where I taught French students. I have also had a few English speaking clients in the US whom I tutored independently. I have been a student of the French language for 15 years and my knowledge comes from both the classroom and the real world, studying and working in Paris and Lyon.

I believe that learning a language is a gateway to engaging with a new culture. So I try to design lesson plans around individual students interests with French culture. I also teach conversational French to beginner level students, either as a supplement to French classes or as a standalone. I use my experience conversing with native speakers to determine which vocabulary is most important to go over, I also use my experience studying French formally to support students in their French studies.
I am comfortable teaching beginner and intermediate level students: A1, A2, and B1 according to standard European criteria. I can tutor middle and high school students and college students in 100-200 level classes.
