About Saskia
I am a recent graduate and understand the pains of studying, exams, and even teachers who are sometimes unwilling to help.
I have been a language tutor for 3 years and have had multiple students go from 40 average to distinctions through mentoring them two hours a week.
What makes me good at what I do, is that I focus heavily on the things that the student struggles with, therefore I can go straight to the problem and fix it from there.
I am a calm and collected person, which makes me a patient teacher. I also enjoy a bit of fun in the classroom and love making jokes.

My lessons are interactive, fun and I use the interests of the students to teach. I use tests to see where the student needs improvement. Therefore, no time is wasted and we get straight to the point to focus on where I can help the student.
I am patient and have no problem to explain a topic until a student understands it. To me, no question is a dumb question, and I am always willing to answer all questions.
I have a degree in Afrikaans Language and believe that I have a good understanding of the language. I also speak English, Spanish, and a bit of French.
My lessons are usually aimed at students who have Afrikaans as a second additional language. I also enjoy tutoring in Afrikaans Home Language to high school students who struggle to understand creative writing and language structures.
My first lesson is usually a test to assess where I can help and what the student needs to improve. I then setup lessons based around what needs improving. I also help with exam prep and will focus heavily on the student's needs.
