About SP

I have been teaching mathematics for Olympiads/JEE for over a decade. I am proud to say that my students have represented India in the math olympiad. My AIEEE (JEE Mains of my time) rank was 40 (State) and ~1800 national. My GATE rank (EnC) was AIR 40 and my JEST (Physics) rank was AIR 4. So I am well-versed in writing competitive exams. I have been invited as a resource person to INMOTC (Kar) and IMOTC (Mumbai). I teach problem-solving techniques using my own problem sets. I ask a lot of questions and give mock tests. Attempting my problem set is a must since I use the set to troubleshoot the student's deficits. With my experience, I can instantly customize my classes for the student's levels. I am very honest about empowering students to be independent learners. In case, some student is beyond my level and I feel my session is not useful, I do not mind refunding the amount and encouraging the student to learn on their own.

About the lesson

I love making ideas utterly transparent and I believe that most mathematics is discovered by a childlike curiosity about the world we inhabit. Thus I teach theory using famous problems, hard puzzles or motivating examples from history. My problem sets for contest training are a mix of contest problems and self-learning of theory. This singular mix is updated regularly from the latest contests, books and magazines. My classes are best suited for students interested in mathematics with an understanding of the standard curriculum and a drive to learn deeper problem-solving techniques. For school students interested in the Olympiad, I can teach students from grades 8 to 12. For undergraduate students, I teach Math for B.Sc and B.Tech.
