About Susan
I have a PhD in applied linguistics in English with a special focus on English language teaching. In fact, I've been teaching for more than 25 years! I also have an accredited TEFL qualification and have worked at a university in South Africa since 1996. I am a member of the TESOL International Association, which allows me to keep up to date with the latest English teaching approaches, methods and techniques.

I believe in individual classes that are tailor-made for your unique English language needs. This means that I meet you at your proficiency level and speak to daily contexts in which you find yourself using English. Activities are negotiated: together, we will decide what you need. If you need to learn to speak fluently, then we will speak! If you need help with reading, then that's what we will focus on. If you need help in analyzing literary texts, I can guide you. You get the picture!
