About Eliane

I am in the end of my master's program in History. Originally, I am from Germany and I started tutoring in the end of my High School years, so I have over 12 years of experience now.

I have worked with students from 5 to 20 years old, even adults sometimes. Furthermore, I have experience with students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other special needs. I love the diversity and my main goal is to support my students in any way possible and to help them not just to understand the topics but also to understand why they are doing it and maybe they even have fun doing it :)

About the lesson

I start with a focus on my student's needs and wants (What is the main issue? What are you good at? What do you want to learn or practice?)

I normally start with questions about what happened since our last lesson, if there is any topic that needs immediate attention, any homework there are issues with or any major questions

Then, we repeat what we did last time or the times before, after that, we work with the topics we need/want to work with, do some tasks.

In the end we summarize what we have done and talk about last questions until next time. Of course, every student is different and has different needs and wants, I always adapt to the individual situation!
