About Reuben
I enjoy learning new science myself and applying the principles I have learnt through my education to real world problems. I believe a really deep understanding of the most fundamental concepts is a hard thing to achieve, but this only makes it more important. As the harder it is to understand an idea, the easier it is to remember and apply once understood. I trained as a science teacher in 2021, so have a solid understanding of the principles of education. Before this I worked in IT and radio engineering in the Ministry of Defence. As part of my degree I worked for a year in an accelerator physics lab carrying out research. So as well as knowing how to teach, I also know many real world scenarios that can be used in our lessons.

My lessons adapt to each students specific needs and together we build a strong scientific understanding of the world. I encourage my students to question their knowledge and get a deeper understanding of basic principles. This then gives them the tools to push themselves and achieve their best possible results in exams. I teach all science up to GCSE, and physics and biology to A-level. I have experience with Edexcel and AQA exam boards and can adapt my lessons to fit whatever exam board is required
