About James
I started playing the sax when I was 11 through private lessons. I joined middle school band and then became serious about transforming my music into a career when I was in high school. After college I moved to New Orleans and played there for 5 years. I then moved to Colorado where music came to a halting standstill due to COVID. After experiencing a few years of stagnation, I moved to Austin to further pursue my profession. I now play in a few bands and perform regularly.

I am a proponent of practicing! I myself try to practice everyday for a few hours. I teach the same philosophy that molded me into the musician I am today. Music takes patience, and dedication. I not only teach the instrument but I will also introduce the philosophies of music that will transform a casual music player into a dedicated and committed professional.
I have experience tutoring Spanish when I was back in college. I did well with my students. I am patient, calm, and I will make the lesson enjoyable.
