About Ian

I learned programming under the guidance of a former Twitter software developer and several accomplished professors, and I’ve carried that experience into my own teaching. Programming isn’t just something I do—it’s something I love, and I bring that enthusiasm into every session. I’m patient and detail-oriented, taking the time to break down even the most complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. My goal is for you to leave each lesson not just with the right answers, but with the confidence and understanding to tackle problems on your own.

About the lesson

I love helping students find real enjoyment in programming. I break complex, high-level ideas into clear, approachable pieces so you don’t just memorize—you truly understand. I’m not the “lecture for an hour” type; instead, we’ll learn by doing, working step-by-step through real problems and your current or previous assignments. I support both high school and undergraduate learners and tailor each session to your goals and learning style.
