About Isabel

I can spark my students’ interest when I present them with a wide variety of topics. It provides a lot of outlets for creativity and gives them some autonomy to explore ideas. I demonstrate professionalism when I take the time to guide students and develop a genuine concern for the well-being of everyone in my classroom, including those who cause disruptions. And as a good teacher, I must know how to set coherent and consistent norms and rules in my classroom. I must exercise the authority that my position grants me without falling into authoritarianism which would distance me from my students.

About the lesson

If I can present my students with a wide variety of topics, provide them with many outlets for creativity, and give them some autonomy to explore ideas, I could awaken a curiosity that they will pursue later. I rely on my students’ interests and allow them to ask questions and seek answers.
