About James
I am passionate about teaching and aim to establish rigorous and deep understanding in the student while at the same time bringing joy to the learning experience.
I have 40 years experience consulting on maths, physics and coding problems and have taught these subjects to the teams I have managed. I taught students from diverse backgrounds such as Turkey and Pakistan.

Teaching maths or physics well requires the teacher to first identify the weak links in a student's understanding and then to figure out the best way of filling in the gaps. Often the problems are not where they appear to be but rather in ideas learnt earlier which were not thoroughly understood.
I strongly believe that having fun with ideas is the essential, but often missing, sine que non of real intellectual progress.
