About Sameer
From teaching small groups at Harvard to working one-on-one with learners across Australia and worldwide, I bring both subject expertise and personal mentoring to every session. I have studied and taught a wide range of subjects at Harvard University and the University of California, experiences that have given me deep subject mastery and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and goals. With over 15 years of tutoring experience, I know that true understanding comes not from memorization, but from breaking concepts down to their essence, building reasoning skills, asking the right questions, and practicing with guidance. I tailor each lesson to your pace, goals, and preferred learning style—whether you are preparing for HSC, VCE, IB, university coursework, or competitive exams such as SAT, ACT, MCAT, GRE, or GMAT. My aim is that you leave each session more confident, equipped to tackle new problems with clarity and curiosity.

My Approach to Tutoring:
I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations and teaching problem-solving strategies instead of memorization. Using interactive tools like an iPad and Apple Pencil, I make lessons engaging and easy to follow. Each session is personalized to the student’s needs and goals—whether improving grades, preparing for exams, or handling university coursework.
Lesson Structure:
Length: 60 minutes (90 minutes available for advanced topics or exam prep)
Format: Flexible scheduling, regular sessions, or targeted revision before exams
Qualifications & Experience:
I studied Molecular Genetics and Stem Cell Biology at Michigan State University and Harvard University, where I also served as a Teaching Fellow for five years. More recently, I completed my Master’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley. With over 15 years of tutoring experience, I have helped students in Australia and worldwide succeed at the high school, exam, and university levels.
