About Rae
I've tutored privately, with the Harvard Summer School, with Harvard Student Agencies tutoring, and with Varsity Tutors, focusing on mathematics of various levels, astronomy, and SAT/PSAT preparation.
Currently, I am working in insurance as a Benefits Coordinator. I am looking to pursue a Ph.D. in pure mathematics later in my career. I am a Harvard College graduate with a concentration in Astrophysics and a secondary in African American studies.
My hobbies include reading, watching cartoons, and enjoying nature. I also love to cook and spend time with good friends.

The best way to learn is to do, so as a tutor, I like to focus on practice problems. By working through problems together, I can learn my students' thought processes and make suggestions for improvements.
I encourage my students to have confidence in themselves and their abilities, even if the work is challenging. My love of math is genuine and contagious, and I'm willing to work with students of all levels and ages.
