About Grant
I'm an accountant by day and musician by night. I graduated college as a double major in accounting and music. Accounting was stability, but music was and IS my passion. I've taught guitar for 5+ years. Some students do great, others flail about and ultimately quit, and a few have surpassed me in talent and capabilities (always humbling and ALWAYS exciting).

My main focus in teaching guitar is to create a solid foundation. I think music theory is incredibly important to create a well-rounded musician. Tabs, sheet music, and chord charts are all fair game! I like lessons that are 30 - 45 minutes. Any longer and I find people lose focus.
I'm patient and passionate about music. I understand that music is an escape to so many and that learning an instrument is an extension of that escape. I do my best to make lessons fun. The hard part is the practice.
