About Gabe
I have been playing and teaching for over 10 years. I was signed with Pioneer Records and produced several albums. I have a BA in music theatre and played at several venues all over New York City. I was involved in a start up in New York writing and playing yoga music for pre schoolers and their parents, a way for them to have fun and do Yoga together. Many schools used our service. I also play many other instruments such as the saxophone and clarinet, most woodwinds. I work in a daycare now teaching music to children and give lessons in evenings and weekends.

Every student has a learning curve. The key is to be patient and uncover were the student is on that curve. Every student wants to play a song right away. I feel too many teachers go right to the basic fundamentals and lose their students interest quickly. I like to begin with a simple song to play and practice and then build the fundamentals from there. Most student will want to learn another song and I can introduce another set of fundamentals by simply changing the song. ie single note songs to chord strumming songs, finger picking songs to pic playing songs and so forth, all while keeping their interest with a catchy tune.
