Sitting in a studio in Montreal, I often reflect on the 106 students I have guided. My BMus degree from UBC provides a rigorous foundation for every blues progression or chord transition.
I balance 13 years of performing with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra against the joy of teaching lead guitar. Tuning and maintenance are habits I instill early on. I find that reading tabs and strumming patterns can be intuitive with the right focus. My teaching style is supportive and detail-oriented.
Music theory helps bridge the gap between simple chords and original songwriting. You will find my approach is quite steady.
