About Grace

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Guitar Performance and have 7 years of experience teaching students of all levels. My philosophy blends technical skill development, musical creativity, and personalized guidance to help students grow as expressive, confident guitarists. I emphasize a balanced approach, combining structured practice with improvisation and musical exploration.

I design lessons based on the student’s level and goals. Beginners focus on chord development, finger placement, and basic melodies; intermediates refine technique, improvisation, and rhythm; advanced learners tackle performance pieces, complex solos, and creative expression.

Lessons integrate exercises, repertoire, and feedback to ensure steady and meaningful growth. Outside teaching, I perform regularly, study diverse musical styles, and develop creative exercises to enhance lessons. Helping students cultivate skill, confidence, and their own musical voice is the most rewarding part of my work.

About the lesson

My guitar lessons focus on building technical mastery, expressive playing, and creative problem-solving. Students work on fingerpicking, strumming patterns, chord transitions, scales, solo phrasing, improvisation, and stylistic interpretation. Lessons incorporate exercises, repertoire practice, creative improvisation, and musical analysis to help learners develop both skill and artistry. Each session provides a supportive environment where students feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, and exploring their own musical voice.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s experience. Beginners develop proper posture, finger coordination, basic chords, and simple melodies to build a strong foundation. Intermediate learners refine fingerstyle technique, solo phrasing, rhythmic accuracy, and creative improvisation. Advanced students focus on complex repertoire, composition, performance readiness, and interpretive depth. I provide constructive feedback, structured exercises, and interactive tasks in every lesson to ensure steady progress and confidence growth.

The goal of my guitar teaching is to nurture musicians who can perform skillfully, creatively, and confidently. Lessons emphasize technical precision, musical expression, and interpretive insight. Students gain not only skill but also an appreciation for music as a form of personal expression and creative exploration.
