About Mia
My passion for guitar began through a fascination with how music can communicate stories, emotions, and ideas. This interest led me to complete a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Studies followed by a Master of Music in Guitar Performance. During my 8 years of teaching experience, I have helped students of different ages and abilities develop confidence through engaging and supportive instruction. Teaching guitar allows me to share both technical knowledge and artistic inspiration.
I enjoy helping students discover their unique musical voices while building strong technical foundations. My teaching philosophy emphasizes balance between discipline and creativity, allowing learners to grow as both musicians and individuals. Through personalized guidance, performance coaching, and practical skill development, I help students achieve goals that match their interests and aspirations. Every learner receives instruction tailored to their strengths and learning style.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, arranging music, and studying a wide variety of musical genres. These experiences provide fresh perspectives that enrich my lessons and keep learning exciting. Watching students achieve milestones and develop confidence in their abilities is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work. I look forward to helping learners grow as musicians and enjoy the lifelong rewards of playing guitar.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students develop both technical excellence and personal musical expression. I use storytelling, practical demonstrations, musical references, and creative exercises to teach bending techniques, vibrato development, tone shaping, rhythm mastery, solo phrasing, improvisation, and stage confidence. Students learn how technical skills support expressive performance rather than existing as isolated exercises. Every lesson encourages curiosity, creativity, and a deeper understanding of music. This approach helps learners stay motivated while making steady progress.
Lessons are customized to suit individual needs, interests, and experience levels. Beginners develop confidence through chord work, rhythm exercises, and foundational techniques. Intermediate learners strengthen fretboard understanding, expressive phrasing, and improvisational skills. Advanced students focus on tone refinement, stylistic versatility, advanced soloing concepts, and performance preparation. Learners seeking structured progress receive clear milestones, while those interested in creative exploration receive guidance that encourages originality. Continuous feedback supports consistent growth.
