About Mills

I’m Mills, a London based music producer, studio engineer, and beginner guitar teacher.

Alongside teaching, I work with artists on their music, producing, recording and mixing, and supporting them through the creative process. I’ve also worked on writing camps helping to develop artists and their sound, and I regularly work with young people in music.

I also write and release my own music, so I understand what it’s like to be learning, creating and figuring things out as you go!

I started out learning guitar and writing songs myself, so I know how overwhelming it can feel at the beginning. That’s why I focus on keeping lessons relaxed, clear and supportive.

My aim is to help you build confidence, enjoy the process, and feel comfortable making music at your own pace.

About the lesson

Hi! I teach beginner guitar, music theory and songwriting in a way that’s built around you and what you want to get out of it.

Whether you want to learn guitar from scratch, understand the basics of music theory, or start writing your own songs, my lessons are tailored to you and your pace and your goals.

I keep things simple and practical. So rather than learning everything in isolation, we connect what you’re learning so it actually makes sense and feels usable, whether that’s playing songs, understanding how music works, or creating your own ideas.

If you are interested in songwriting, we can bring that in from early on, but there’s no pressure. Some people just want to play and build confidence, others want to create, and both are completely fine.

Lessons are relaxed and supportive, with a focus on steady progress and helping you feel comfortable with music.

I also work as a music producer and mixing engineer, so if you do want to move towards recording or releasing music in the future, I can guide you in that direction too!
