About Derek
"Playing guitar for 13 years across stages and studios means I understand the craft deeply. My path started with formal training at Berklee College of Music where I earned my MMus in Guitar Performance. Since then I have taught music theory and chord transitions daily.
I help students master reading tabs and lead guitar phrasing. Understanding blues progressions feels great. Helping others grasp acoustic technique and complex barre chords is what I find truly enjoyable. Fingerpicking and songwriting are core parts of my instruction."
