About Iris
Picture us sitting down to map out your current fretboard knowledge and where you want to go next. During your first session, we identify the exact technical gaps holding you back.
Using my degree from UQAM, I provide insight into music theory and acoustic technique that makes sense for your specific goals. I share free chord charts and tab sheets after each class to keep you moving forward. Whether you are prepping for grade exams or just want to master barre chords, we will get there.

Working with self-taught players allows me to see where you have hit a wall in your technique. Since you want to move past the basics, we focus on making your chord transitions feel fluid and natural. I hold a BA Musique populaire from UQAM, which gives me a solid foundation in both theory and the mechanics of the instrument.
Over 13 years, I have helped 444 students move from frustration to playing full songs with confidence. My goal is to keep things light while we sharpen your fingerpicking and lead guitar skills. We will work at a steady pace that feels manageable for your unique learning style.
