About Leah
I’ve spent over a decade helping students discover their potential through the guitar. My teaching combines structured learning with musical expression, emphasizing how technique can unlock creativity. I’ve worked with beginners, intermediate players, and experienced musicians seeking stylistic depth. My background spans acoustic, rock, and contemporary genres, and I bring that versatility into each lesson. I focus on helping learners find comfort and confidence in their sound, nurturing a balance between precision and playfulness. Outside of teaching, I compose, record, and perform regularly, experiences that shape how I mentor my students. To me, teaching guitar isn’t just about playing notes — it’s about finding joy, meaning, and identity in music.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students build solid technique while developing their unique musical voice. From the very first session, we focus on chord transitions, rhythm fluency, and right-hand coordination to ensure strong foundational control. Students quickly learn to apply technical skills to real songs, which keeps learning motivating and practical.
As students progress, I introduce scale work, melodic phrasing, and improvisation through structured exercises and guided jam sessions. This encourages exploration and helps learners understand how theory connects to creative performance. Advanced students work on soloing, composition, and performance polish, refining timing and tone quality.
Each class blends ear training, rhythm exercises, and music theory in a hands-on format. Whether preparing for exams, live shows, or personal growth, every lesson encourages curiosity, discipline, and musical confidence.
