About Ernest
Four years old was when I first grabbed a guitar neck, and I have not looked back since. Dealing with 13 years of playing has taught me plenty. I spent 7 years gigging across Sydney and Melbourne in various indie rock bands.
That road experience shapes how I view the fretboard now. It is just real life, messy and loud. Teaching is genuinely the best part of my week.
I love helping people get the hang of music theory and blues progressions. Watching someone finally nail a difficult strumming pattern is great.

Good technique is just a conversation between your fingers and the wood. Picture yourself sitting down with a guitar to figure out a specific acoustic technique.
That moment of clarity is where we live. Kids and teens often find electric technique easier when we ignore the fluff and just play.
Beginners usually struggle with fingerpicking, but I have 13 years of trial and error to help you skip the frustration. Performance focused students will appreciate the practical tips I share from my touring days. We keep things structured but loose enough to actually enjoy the process. You will get the hang of this without the usual academic stuffiness.
