I have given occasional lessons for eight years. I've only taught a couple students, but I've seen beginners that have never played before be able to play melody and chords with songs and work through theory books in less than a year!

I try to keep a loose structure as I believe engagement is the most important thing. I try to balance each lesson with learning new techniques/theory and developing new songs that the student can play. I try to ask for feedback as often as possible!
