About Leona
My passion for guitar began through a fascination with how music can inspire, connect, and communicate ideas. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Guitar Studies and have spent the last 4 years helping students strengthen their musical abilities. Teaching allows me to share my enthusiasm while supporting personal growth.
I believe every student benefits from lessons that combine structure with creativity. My teaching style focuses on patience, practical learning, and helping learners understand the purpose behind each skill they develop. Every student receives guidance tailored to their individual needs.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, arranging music, and exploring guitar traditions from different cultures. These experiences bring variety and fresh perspectives into my lessons. Helping students discover confidence through music remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students become comfortable, capable, and creative musicians. Topics such as rhythm guitar, chord progressions, picking techniques, fingerstyle coordination, scale application, improvisation, song learning, and musical listening skills are taught through practical exercises and enjoyable learning activities. I emphasise understanding how music works so students can apply their skills confidently.
Each lesson is designed around the student's goals, musical interests, and current experience level. Beginners develop strong foundations through structured guidance, while advanced learners refine technical control, musical expression, and performance readiness. Every session includes practical exercises that encourage consistent improvement and independent learning.
I create an encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable exploring new challenges and developing their abilities. Learning becomes more enjoyable when progress feels clear and achievable. My goal is to help students become confident guitar players who continue growing long after each lesson.
