About Savannah
"Stiff fingers are usually the biggest enemy of a clean barre chord. It is a common obstacle.
We will fix your technique by applying the same discipline I used to earn my BA Musique populaire degree. Intermediate learners often hit a wall with soloing, so we will use scales and modes to bridge that gap.
My approach is designed to help self-taught players finally add structure to their practice routines. We will focus on rhythm and improvisation during every session. I provide a free trial session to assess your current starting level. That is how we begin."

"Reading tabs and mastering chord transitions are the foundational elements I emphasize in my studio. My BA Musique populaire from UQAM provides the structural backbone for the improvisation and ear training I teach. Having logged 9 years of experience, I have successfully guided 299 students through the challenges of scales and modes.
Power chords and barre chords often present a hurdle for returning learners, but I simplify the mechanics for everyone. Kids and adults alike find that rhythm guitar becomes second nature when we focus on the groove. My background in the Montreal folk scene adds a practical edge to my technical lessons. I enjoy watching students transition from shaky playing to confident, fluid musicianship."
