"The sound of a perfectly tuned string resonating in a quiet room is where my teaching begins. I find purpose in sharing the nuance of blues progressions and the grit of electric technique with students ranging from kids to advanced learners and working professionals.
Having performed as a classical vocalist for 11 years, I understand the discipline required to master complex fingerpicking and improvisation. I have mentored 168 students to help them find their voice on the instrument.
My lessons emphasise the importance of music theory as a tool for understanding power chords and lead guitar mechanics. I focus on developing your ear training so you can express yourself beyond just reading tablature.
It is rewarding to see students find their own musical identity through these core skills. I take pride in the progress of the kids and busy professionals I coach regularly. Teaching allows me to share the technical secrets I gathered over 13 years of stage work. The process of watching a student tackle a difficult solo is truly enjoyable."
