About Nate
I have a B.A. in Music Composition from Yale University, and an M.M. in Conducting from Mason Gross School of the Arts. I've taught hundreds of students in classroom, private, and masterclass settings, and take great pride in using purposeful pedagogy.
I'm an active creative myself, performing with, composing for, and directing some of the nations top ensembles, so whatever you're trying to learn, I'll be able to help you make new discoveries.

I bring an uncommon combination of traditional training and real-world experience. I'm a Grammy-winning performer, but I've also composed for Grammy-winning ensembles, and worked with Grammy-winning singers like YEBBA. What this means is that I can fluidly navigate pedagogy and real-world application.
I create highly-individualized teaching plans tailored to each student, so that you get the most possible out of each lesson. An individual lesson will contain a variety of modules designed to teach in the varied ways you learn, accessing the physical, the mental, and the emotional. Every lesson is fun, and a chance to discover something new.
