About Shaheer

I'm Shaheer — a 16-year-old student at a Buckinghamshire grammar school, currently in Year 11 studying for my GCSEs.

I sat and passed the Buckinghamshire 11+ entrance exam myself, which means I have first-hand experience of exactly what the test involves and what it takes to succeed. I know the format, the question types, and the pressure that comes with it — and I can help your child prepare for all of it.

Academically, I achieved a Grade 8 in GCSE Statistics (early entry), demonstrating strong analytical and mathematical ability. I also hold a Python Programming Certificate and a Level 3 Personal Training qualification, showing that I'm someone who pushes myself beyond the classroom and takes on challenges independently.

Beyond academics, I have real professional experience for my age. I completed a work experience placement in the IT department at Travelodge and participated in a Sustainability Insight Day with British Airways — both of which required communication, professionalism, and the ability to work alongside adults in a corporate environment. I also volunteer regularly in my local community.

I am currently working towards my Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award, having already completed Bronze — something that has developed my resilience, teamwork, and commitment to seeing things through.

As a tutor, I bring patience, clarity, and genuine enthusiasm for helping younger students build confidence. I remember what it felt like to prepare for the 11+, and I want to make that process as smooth and stress-free as possible for your child.

About the lesson

About My Lessons:

I offer online 11+ tutoring across all four core areas: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning — covering everything your child needs to prepare for the Buckinghamshire grammar school entrance exam.
As a current student at a Buckinghamshire grammar school, I sat and passed the 11+ myself, so I know exactly what the exam involves, what the questions look like, and what skills need to be developed to give your child the best chance of success.

What my sessions cover:

Maths — number, fractions, percentages, problem solving, and the style of maths questions that appear in the Bucks 11+
English — comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and written expression
Verbal Reasoning — all question types including codes, analogies, word patterns and sequences
Non-Verbal Reasoning — shape patterns, matrices, spatial reasoning and figure series
General 11+ Exam Technique — timed practice, how to approach unfamiliar questions, and how to stay calm under pressure

How I teach:

Sessions are held online via video call, making it easy to fit around your child's schedule with no travel needed. I tailor every lesson to your child's individual weak areas rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, so we focus time where it matters most.

I also hold a Grade 8 in GCSE Statistics and a Python Programming Certificate, demonstrating strong academic ability across both analytical and written subjects.
