I am a physics student at Reed College about to graduate with a BA degree. I have two years of experience teaching intro physics at Reed College, and more years of experience with individual tutoring of high school/intro college math and physics.

My approach to teaching is to help the student get where they want to go. Math and physics, especially, are topics that are difficult to grasp when the initial concepts are inaccessible. It is my job as a teacher to make those concepts as accessible as possible. I like to test different ways of framing problems, and walk the student through a detailed breakdown of whatever they may be struggling with.
