I'm from China but took A-level examinations. I completed my bachelor degree at UCL, London, then moved to St Andrews to continue with master then PhD programmes. My mother tongue is Mandarin, can speak fluent English and Spanish, and also able to teach in all three of them. Scottish/Irish folk and traditional music player, frequent session goer.

Teaching will be focused on the weakness of student's knowledge, bridging the gap between their current performance in maths and their desired result. Typically, we will start with some past paper style questions to develop techniques of detecting the type of the question and how to approach. Then, background knowledge and how they fit into a larger scheme of knowledge will be carefully explained, according to my experiences from undergraduate to PhD studies. Normal length of class will be 45 min to 1 hr. I have first class honours BSc Mathematics, Distinction in MSc mathematics and expected to graduate as a PhD mathematics.
