About Sophia
Although I am still a student I have a lot of experience in the tutoring field. I have tutored other students before from school and I always am teaching my family new things in English since I come from a hispanic family who had to learn English late in life. I grew up constantly moving around several different countries so I also know what it is like to have to adapt to new languages. I am bilingual (I speak English and Spanish), and my mother's first language is Spanish and she had to learn English when she moved to the States, so I know some tricks that really work with English. I have a lot of first hand experience and that is what qualifies me. I also earnedA's in my English classes throughout High School.

I understand first hand the struggles of learning English, my mother and a lot of my family struggled with the same thing when they moved to the United States from South America. I also am unique with my teaching style based on the students best way of learning, I approach lessons in a way that suits them and surrounds them so they can thrive in ESL in a way that is for them. I always keep it friendly so students know I am easy to talk to and keeping a positive attitude helps with motivation.
