About Kirstie
I am number 5 out of 7 girls in my family. I’ve played almost every sport, softball being my favorite. Teaching algebra and Math is a passion that I have been trying to pursue since college. I have worked with kids before at a daycare and have tutured kids in my neighborhood for Math as well. I also umpire games on the side for fun. I was in honor math classes in school and I just want to get kids to love it as much as me.

Never give up on a problem. Try to think of different ways to approach an answer if you get stuck. When teaching a problem make sure each step is talked about why we need to make that step even if it’s well known. Always write down steps because letting it just be in your head is difficult to remember. Every problem can be solved we just need to take what was learned and see how we can apply it.
