About Rebecca
I have worked with so many students and assessed them over the years. They have come from all over the globe! I worked virtually and in person with groups of students and individuals for 12+ years. After receiving my Bachelors degree from IU, I began working as a ESL teacher. Many of my students were preschool to 9th grade in age, but I have also worked with scores of adults as well. I enjoyed this. During my career, I created and procured various learning materials to help meet my students exactly where they were. I have made modifications for students who needed things to be simplified. I also branched out in teaching other areas like English composition, violin, and fitness. About 3-4 years ago, I graduated from Purdue with a Masters in Learning Design and technology.
Students I worked with came from: South Korea, Mexico, China, Japan, Sweden, Norway, and Puerto Rico.

Opportunities are given to you; to explore different contexts. You will use English to listen, speak, write, and read. A context is a place and event.
You will be given visuals and some words to help you practice navigating through roleplay in an "adventure". Like practical contexts: "going to a new school", "getting a cold", "cooking dinner", "skateboard at a park", "play a ball game", etc. Or imaginative contexts like "wizard's school" or "alternate universes".
Feedback is given in a chart form. Think of each class like a puzzle.
Tools given in class: vocabulary words, pictures, grammar and sentence structure.
