About Aaliyah

Hi! My name is Aaliyah and I graduated high school in 2025 with an ATAR above 94. Throughout school, I consistently worked hard and achieved top results, including topping both English and History. I am passionate about helping younger students build confidence in their learning and develop strong study habits from an early age.

As someone who understands the importance of patience and has younger siblings who I teach all the time, encouragement and personalized learning, I aim to create a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. I know that every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s needs and help them reach their full potential. Alongside academics, I was also a competitive dancer for many years, which taught me discipline, dedication, and resilience, qualities I bring into my tutoring sessions to motivate students to work hard and believe in themselves.

About the lesson

I create a fun, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for younger students in both English and Math. Before each lesson, I prepare personalized worksheets and activities that cater to what the child is currently learning at school, allowing us to build on their understanding each week and target any areas they may need extra support with.
For English, I help with reading, comprehension, spelling, grammar, and creative writing through interactive activities and step-by-step guidance. For Math, I break down problems into simple, easy-to-understand steps and use practice questions, visual learning methods, and real-life examples to strengthen confidence and understanding.
I am patient, positive, and believe every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each student and help them feel comfortable, motivated, and proud of their progress. Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes long depending on the child’s age and focus area.
