About Maryah
I am a friendly, patient and approachable tutor with 3 years of tutoring experience. * I have experience working with both a tutoring company and as a personal tutor, giving me experience adapting to different students and learning styles. * I enjoy breaking down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps so students can understand them more easily. * I want to teach because I enjoy helping students build their confidence, improve their understanding and see their progress over time. * I believe every student learns differently, so I aim to create a comfortable and supportive 1:1 environment where they can ask questions without feeling pressured. * I find it rewarding when a student goes from struggling with a topic to being able to complete questions independently and feel confident in their abilities. * My goal is not only to help students achieve better results, but also to help them develop independent learning skills and confidence that they can carry forward.

* 1:1 personalised tutoring tailored to the student’s individual needs, ability and pace. * Explain the topic clearly using simple language and relatable examples. * Written examples to demonstrate how to approach questions and apply the topic. * Guided practice: work through questions together, providing support where needed. * Independent practice: gradually encourage the student to complete questions independently to build confidence. * Feedback and correction: identify areas for improvement and explain how to approach mistakes. * Curriculum-based: lessons follow the relevant curriculum and specifications. * Lesson length: sessions are 1 hour minimum and up to 3 hours maximum, depending on the student’s needs. * Experience: 3 years of tutoring experience — 1 year working with a tutoring company and 2 years as a personal tutor. * Level: tutoring available up to GCSE level.
