About Lisa
After I completed the HSC in 2019 (new syllabus) I studied two university courses concurrently, through two different universities. I became a radio announcer due to my love of communication and outgoing personality before deciding that education was my calling. I now work at a local primary school while I study a Master of Primary Teaching. When I am not working or studying, I enjoy any water-based activities (surfing, diving, fishing, kayaking) and spending time at the dog beach with my friends

I achieved a band 6 in Biology in the NSW Higher School Certificate and graduated with Distinction from the University of Wollongong. Currently studying to become a teacher, I have a focus on current, research-based teaching best practice. This includes explicit teaching, a focus on encouraging learners giving things a go and asking questions without fear of being ‘wrong’ and teaching for conceptual understanding so knowledge can be applied in a range of settings.
