About Helaine
I believe that there is such a strong foundation that math gives to a person’s understanding of the world. For that reason I have always enjoyed tutoring mathematics and watching the confidence in someone’s eyes when they start to comprehend new aspects of math. Math is universal and should be shared and cultivated. My goal will always be to meet you at your level and create an open environment where your learning is priority.

For those who are having difficulty: I aim to localize the area of misunderstanding so that we can build the fundamentals in these places. This can sometimes lead to having to go back to subjects that came well before the level the student is currently at, but in the end I believe it really will be the catalyst for tying all the material together.
For those just looking to advance further: I like to put a goal together as to what you are hoping to use this for and what interests you and motivates you. From there we can develop a learning plan where we focus on getting you where you want to be while teaching through the material in a way that best suits your style of learning.
