About Miles

I'm currently taking a year off in between my bachelors and my masters, after which I plan to do a PhD. In my spare time I go to jam sessions and produce music with other musicians in and around London. When I was younger I didn't always take to Maths in school, once I got a little older I started to enjoy it outside of school and got a knack for teaching myself. When I was at university this skill became very valuable and it allowed me to teach myself and sometimes my friends. As someone who didn't always excel at education in school, in particular in a classroom environment it is important for me to help people in their pursuit of Maths outside the classroom.

About the lesson

I believe that teaching should be personalised to the unique needs of the student and that effort should be made by the teacher to deliver the content in an approachable and easily digestible manner. My style of teaching involves lots of student interaction as I find this the best method to keep students engaged with the content. Typical lesson length of 30 mins to an hour but can be flexible. Lessons aimed at students between the ages of 15-18.
