I would be a strong choice as a biology tutor because I bring both depth of coursework and years of consistent exposure to biological sciences. Through my biology minor and multiple biology-related courses taken over several years, I’ve developed a solid understanding of core concepts such as cellular biology, genetics, physiology, and biochemistry. More importantly, I understand biology not just as a collection of facts, but as a connected system of mechanisms, which allows me to explain concepts clearly and intuitively. Having taken these courses over time, I’ve experienced firsthand where students commonly struggle, and I know how to break down complex ideas into simpler, test-ready explanations. I am patient, organized, and adaptable in my teaching approach, and I focus on helping students build conceptual understanding, not just memorization. My goal as a tutor is to help students feel confident in biology by teaching them how to think through problems logically and apply concepts across different topics.
