About Syeda Seemab

Hi, My name is Syeda Seemab Sakhawat. Math and physics are my areas of expertise as a teacher. From Pakistan's Quaid-I-Azam University, I completed my MPhil in physics in 2022. After completing my course work, I joined the computational condensed matter theory group, which is supervised by Prof. Gul Rahman. My prior computer science education was very helpful in learning how to use Linux, its utility scripts, and other tools for data analysis. For the calculation of electronic properties, I used the Quantum ESPRESSO code, which is based on first-principles density functional theory. I studied the “Structural and Electronic Properties of Allotropes of Two-Dimensional Sulfur, Selenium, and Tellurium”. All structures’ lattice parameters (a, b, and c) are optimized. To verify that all structures are thermally stable, cohesive energy was evaluated. I am also working on a research paper, which is in progress. I picked up a variety of methods for piqueing pupils' interest in math and physics during my employment. Calculus, mathematical methods, algebra, mechanics, electromagnetism, waves, and oscillations were the subjects I taught to BSc students while working as a lecturer at a college. I also worked as an online physics tutor for a US company. I love to teach math and physics, and I have good knowledge of these subjects. I had a great time being a teacher for college students. I completed a one-and-a-half-year teaching program leading to a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, and did a project with the title "Advantages of Multimedia in Science Education". My students received exceptional scores as a result of my rigorous work as a math educator. For me, it was an excellent opportunity. I have good communication skills and a good command of Quantum Espresso, C++, Latex, and Microsoft Word. I am punctual, a team player, and cooperative. I learned a lot about becoming a good teacher. I'm certain that I can complete the tasks to your satisfaction. Thank you.

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is centered around creating an engaging and personalized learning experience for each student. I begin my class by assessing the student's current knowledge, learning style, strengths, and areas that need improvement and understand the student's goals and objectives to tailor the teaching approach accordingly. I provide constructive feedback on assignments, identifying areas for improvement and offering guidance on how to enhance performance. Utilize multimedia, visuals, and real-life examples to enhance comprehension and retention. Briefly introduce the topic of the lesson and review concepts from the previous session. Apply the learned concepts to real-world problems or scenarios, encouraging critical thinking and practical application. I am adept at tailoring my teaching approach to suit each student's unique learning style, pace, and objectives, ensuring a personalized and effective learning experience. My focus areas of teaching are physics, mathematics, geometry, algebra. I teach students from grade 5 to graduate levels.
