About McKenzie
I am a Biotechnology student at UC Davis with several years of experience working with students through mentoring, coaching, and leadership roles. I am passionate about helping K-12 students build confidence in math by creating a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment. My teaching style focuses on repetition, practice, and learning through trial and error, allowing students to develop strong problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding of concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas. I tailor each lesson to the student's individual needs and learning style, helping them improve their grades, confidence, and overall enjoyment of math.

I tutor K–12 math students using a hands-on approach centered around repetition, practice, and trial-and-error learning. I believe students learn best when they actively work through problems, make mistakes, and develop confidence from correcting them.
