About Judith

I graduated from the British Language Training Center in Amsterdam. I also speak Dutch!
Students are my life! I am very patient and promise to make learning English as enjoyable and stress-free as possible! I understand how difficult it can be to learn a new language, because I also did my Dutch integration course in 2010, and I passed!
So far, every student I taught English to has passed his exams. I have a lot of experience teaching Online classes and it would feel like sitting right next to you!
This is how I start my classes: I ask my students to write down exactly what problems they have learning English. Then I ask them how they rate their English. Finally, I ask them what they want to achieve before the classes are over. We work together on these points..... step by step, until our goal is finally reached!
I am a very happy person, so I will fool you with my jokes and help you remember what you have learned. I will always make sure you have time for questions and comments. So make sure you have plenty of paper and pens!
If we have enough time, I also like to do a quick, short review at the beginning of each new lesson to make sure you've finished the last lesson. understood.
I'm pretty flexible! I work during the day at a school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I am available during the day on Thursday and Friday. Evening classes during the week are negotiable. We can also discuss classes on weekends. I am so looking forward to starting your classes! See you soon!

About the lesson

I start by asking my students what their weaknesses in English are, where can I help you? How can I make English easier for you? On a scale of 1 to 10, what can you give yourself right now? What is your target? After assessing the student during the first lesson, I then prepare for future lessons. I teach English at all levels, and all ages. I have 2.5 years of experience as an English teacher.
I always start with Pronunciation, because I find that most students have difficulty with this. Then I move on to grammar and vocabulary. I also give my students the opportunity to talk and ask questions, because this is very important to me. I use word order, prepositions, the tenses and much more. I think the above is very important for students learning English. I always use the TPR (Total Physical Response) method, and it works really well! I use a few websites to prepare lessons.
I prepare all four language skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. I then prepare tests and if they can handle it, I give them little homework. My lessons last 60, 90 or 120 minutes. I am willing to teach the student according to their wish.
