About Gypsy

My names is Gypsy Barrett and I was born in Taumarunui which is located in central North Island. My iwi are Maniapoto and Tuwaretoa with an upbringing on the marae of Hia Kaitupeka which is in Mangakahu Valley. I was brought up in strong back ground of Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga and has instilled within me and my children, so that our cultural idenrity never goes lost or turns colonised, which is why im willing to reach out and teach what i know so that our language will never perish
