About Esme
I have a Bachelor's degree in Classics and am currently working toward a Research Masters in Classics, Medieval and Early Modern Studies.
I am passionate for all things books, and love to learn about other cultures and religions!
During my degree I focused on literature and philosophy, and have completed both Philosophy A Level at a grade A, and Religious Studies GCSE at grade 9. I was student-body head of the Religious Studies department.
I also have experience working with children with special and complex needs both in group settings and individually, and therefore am able to tailor my lessons to suit individual needs.

I have experience working with secondary school aged SEN children, as well as 1:1 tutoring for children with special and complex needs. I am familiar with the mainstream school curriculum in the UK.
My approach is student-centred, with my aim being to learn how best you learn!
Generally a class will last 1 hour.
For prospective students I offer a free session to get to know each other, find what you wish to gain from our lessons, and which learning method you think is best for you.
GCSE Religious Studies/Philosophy and Ethics lessons will be structured around the exam to increase confidence leading up to GCSE.
The focus will be on discussion and debate as I believe this not only grows passion for the subject, but also engages memory the best.
Alongside discussion of a topic, we will practise exam style-questions and try to come to grips with tricky philosophical/religious reading material!
